Creating Engagement with Rich Media
505 Games uses playful animation and synchronization to build anticipation and exposure for the Hotel for Dog's launch
You can use rich media to deliver an engaging experience amongst web content so that anticipation builds. People start telling their friends. The fan base starts rallying. The critics start yapping. The blogs start talking. And most importantly, they become motivated for the release date. If you have a healthy budget and good creative ideas for interaction, then rich media should be a part of your campaign strategy.
In January, 2009, 505 Games came out with "Hotel for Dogs Video Game" to accompany the movie launch. The game, available on Nintendo's Wii, DS, and PC, incorporates a variety of themes from the movie, along with narration from its main characters, Jake T. Austin and Emma Roberts.
SAJE developed the media strategy for this launch focused on rich media games and synchrised roadblocks in concert with a strong search marketing presence across all major search engines. In addition, we integrated some game content and polls within some of the publisher sites where there was a heavy movie promotion, including Girl's Life and Nick.com.
The campaign resulted in great exposure and awareness for the game's launch site for relevant audience segments, as well as some solid rich media interaction within publisher sites.
